Thomas D. Latin
Thomas D. Latin holds a Bachelor of Arts Degree from St. John Fisher College in Rochester, New York and obtained his Juris Doctor Degree, cum laude, from Albany Law School in 1974. From 1974 until 1975, he was a staff attorney with the New York State Law Revision Commission and has been engaged in the private practice of law with offices at Albany, New York, since 1975.
Mr. Latin is a member of the New York State Bar Association, Federal and Commercial Litigation Section and Labor and Employment Law Section, the Albany County Bar Association, the Capital District Trial Lawyers Association, and the Capital District Bankruptcy Bar Association. He primarily practices in the areas of commercial litigation, creditors’ rights and labor and employment law.
Mr. Latin has represented clients in litigated matters, including civil rights cases, discrimination cases and ERISA benefit cases, in all of the Federal District Courts in the State of New York, as well as in Federal District Courts in other states. He has represented clients in cases pending in the various trial level courts in the State of New York, and has represented clients before the New York State Supreme Court, Appellate Division, as well as before the New York State Court of Appeals.
